Writing Workshops Continue.

The Random People Theatre Project A loose knit community of local writers, directors, and actors begins its 14th year with a series of writing workshops beginning July 14th in Garberville. The project encourages both beginners and experienced writers to try their hand at crafting a script to be included in our production of RANDOMONUM 2020! next Spring. Each year Random People Theatre Project produces community theatre with local writers, actors and directors staging a professional show comprised of multiple short pieces.

The workshops, sponsored by the Redwood Playhouse, are 2 hours- 4-6pm on Sundays July 14 & 28, August 25, September 15 & 29 at the Redwood Playhouse on Sprowel creek road in Garberville, this year led by Al Ceraulo and Jacob Shafer, both experienced writers, directors, and actors with Random People Theatre and elsewhere. Everyone is encouraged to come write a play- and take advantage of theatrical performance to explore ideas, consider conundrums, demonstrate dynamics, express emotion, and encourage laughter. Bring your thoughts, ideas, outlines, drafts, or just your curiosity to one or all of the workshops, and get inspired. You needn't attend a workshop to submit a script, but scripts can benefit from the ideas, suggestions and feedback received during the workshops. All are welcome to this casual and supportive group. If you know someone who might be interested in this opportunity, please tell them about Random People and the workshop.
